 | Council Tax Challenge |

Stephen McPartland, has welcomed Hertfordshire County Council’s decision to freeze Council Tax and has issued a challenge for Stevenage Borough Council to freeze their Council Tax also.
Stephen said “I am delighted Herts County Council has decided to freeze Council Tax this year and I am challenging Stevenage Borough Council to do the same. Last year was very difficult for many families with unemployment in Stevenage rising by nearly 100% and many more people have told me on the doorstep how it has been increasingly difficult to make ends meet.
I have campaigned in the town centre recently for a freeze on Council Tax and if elected, a Conservative government would freeze Council Tax for another two years, thus giving local residents a much needed break for the next three years at least.
Herts County Council have shown the way and Stevenage Borough Council must now announce a freeze in their Council Tax bills.”
